What is the difference between an ophthalmologist and a orthokeratologist?
I had keratits so I can not see an eye doctor regularly. My doctor that I have been seeing is an ophthalmologist (eye doctor), but I was the center and saw that someone is a orthokeratologist. Obviously my condition shares a root word with the one in other doctor. What a orthokeratologist do, and I get to that person instead of my eye?
I think I should be sticking with your ophthalmologist. MD and verification are the eyes of ALL. Orthokeratologists specialize in giving gas permeable rigid contact lenses to wear at night so you can see clearly during the day.
